Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data Darsh Media collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
Darsh Media ("Darsh Media", "we", "us", "our") is an integrated marketing, media, advertising, campaign and event agency based at Shingnapur Road, MSEB Colony, Phaltan, Maharashtra 415523, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit darshmedia.in, contact us, or work with us.
This policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as applicable.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services:
- Enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in and your message, when you submit our contact form, call, email or message us on WhatsApp.
- Client and project information: names, designations, contact details, billing and GST details, briefs, creative material, approvals and correspondence shared during an engagement.
- Campaign contact data: phone numbers, names and related details used for bulk SMS, WhatsApp, voice/IVR or other outreach campaigns (see Section 5).
- Event and production material: photographs, video and audio recorded at events, shoots and campaign activities we manage.
- Website usage data: device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, referring pages and similar analytics information collected through cookies (see Section 7).
- Portfolio administration data: login credentials and activity logs for authorised users of our election portfolio administration area.
We do not ask for passwords, bank card numbers or other financial credentials through this website.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and proposals, and follow up on your request.
- To plan, produce and deliver the services you engage us for, including campaigns, events, media and outreach.
- To invoice, collect payments and maintain accounting and tax records.
- To showcase completed work in our portfolio, where permitted by our agreement with the client.
- To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it.
- To keep our website, systems and data secure and prevent misuse.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax and election-related obligations.
We do not sell the personal data you share with us through enquiries.
4. Consent and lawful use
By submitting your details to us, you consent to our processing them for the purposes described in this policy. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us (see Section 13). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, and we may continue to keep information where the law requires us to.
We may also process personal data for legitimate uses permitted by law, such as fulfilling a contract you have entered into with us or meeting a legal obligation.
5. Bulk communication and campaign contact data
For outreach campaigns, contact data may come from two sources:
- Data supplied by our clients. When a client gives us a contact list (for example, supporters, customers or members), the client decides why and how that data is used. We process it only on the client's instructions and for that campaign. The client is responsible for having collected the data lawfully and for holding any consent required.
- Data sourced by Darsh Media. When we provide or arrange contact data, we take reasonable steps to ensure it has been obtained lawfully and is used only for the agreed campaign.
In both cases we send commercial SMS through registered headers and templates as required under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regulations, follow WhatsApp Business and telecom operator policies, and honour opt-out and do-not-disturb preferences where they apply. If you have received a message from a campaign we ran and want to stop receiving them, reply with the opt-out keyword shown in the message, or contact us with your number and we will remove it or pass the request to the relevant client.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, then delete or anonymise it. As a guide:
- Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months from our last contact.
- Client, contract and billing records: as long as required by tax and accounting laws (generally 8 years).
- Campaign contact lists: for the duration of the campaign, then deleted or returned to the client unless the client agreement says otherwise.
- Portfolio material: for as long as it is displayed, or until a valid removal request is received.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access to administrative systems, password-protected accounts and limiting access to staff and vendors who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your personal data where it is no longer needed or you withdraw consent.
- Withdraw consent you have given.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.

11. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links and changes to this policy
